  1. Day 1 Transfer from Entebbe to Kibale the Chimp Capital

Set off early in the morning for your drive to the Uganda’s southwestern Highlands. The journey takes you through farmland, rolling hills and plains. Then through forests, villages and tea plantations to your safari lodge near the rainforest of Kibale. In the afternoon take a nature walk in the Bigodi Wetland which is a sanctuary for colorful birds, and monkeys. The wetland sanctuary found next to the national park is a preview of what to expect when you go trekking in the park.

  2. Day 2 Lake Mburo - Queen Elizabeth

Kibale National Park is most famous for the high concentration of chimpanzees. Your expert guide will share the secrets of the chimps, forest dwellers, and the sights and sounds that make Kibale one of the loveliest and most varied parks in Uganda. Also look out for other primates such as L’Hoest’s, red colobus, red-tailed and blue monkeys.
After lunch drive farther south crossing the equator into the southern hemisphere and to the Queen Elizabeth National Park. In the afternoon you will take a water safari on the Kazinga Channel and get close to the wildlife and birds along the waterway.

  3. Day 3 Queen Elizabeth National Park

Game drives start out early before sunrise so you are there just as the wildlife begins the new day. Look out for some of Africa’s Big 5 like the elephants, buffalo, lions and leopards. The hunters and hunted are all out so it is great time for photography or simply enjoy the wildlife.
In the afternoon transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

  4. Day 4 Precious moments with the mountain gorillas

This is the day that only one who has experienced it can describe. Today you get intimate and close with a family of the endangered mountain gorillas of Uganda. The tracking begins with a briefing on do’s and don’ts by the Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers – the custodians of this ancient home. Your visit will allow you to meet gorilla mothers, baby gorillas play and move around as the family feeds. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a UNESCO world heritage site home to gorillas, over 350 bird species, and ancient plants.
In the afternoon transfer to Lake Mburo National Park.

  5. Day 5 Lake Mburo National Park - transfer to Entebbe

Set out early in the morning for a walking safari with your guide and ranger from the Uganda Wildlife Authority. The absence of the big cats like the lion makes Lake Mburo National Park a favorite for walking safaris. Walking will bring you up close to the zebras and the giraffes—giving you a totally different experience compared to being in a game drive vehicle.
Optional safari experiences are horse ride or biking safari in the park.
After the safari walk, transfer to Entebbe. You will make a stopover at the equator as you cross over from the southern to the northern hemisphere.
